5. Frequently asked questions

Signing in

I am not receiving the one-time code.

Still stuck? Email us your phone number (never the code) and your phone model.

I forgot my password.

If you sign in with email, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and enter your email. We will send you a link to set a new password. Check your spam folder if it does not arrive within a few minutes.

Can I sign in with Google or Apple?

Not yet. Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple are coming soon. For now, please sign in with your phone number or email. Our Privacy Policy explains what Google and Apple will share with us when these options arrive.

I changed my phone number or lost access to my email.

Email us from any address, with details that help us confirm the account is yours, such as the first name on the account and roughly when you joined. We will help you get back in once we are sure it is your account.

Why does Sarathi ask for my date of birth?

Only to confirm that you are 18 or older. We keep just your age band (for example 25–34), not your date of birth.

Using Sarathi

My nudges are not arriving.

Which languages does Sarathi speak?

English, हिन्दी (Hindi) and ગુજરાતી (Gujarati). You can change the language in Settings.

Can Sarathi replace my doctor, therapist or guru?

No. Sarathi is a quiet companion for reflection. It is not medical or psychological care, and it is not a religious authority. Please keep seeing the people who care for your health and guide your practice.

A reply from Sarathi seemed wrong or hurtful.

We are sorry. AI replies can make mistakes. Please tap Report this reply on the reflection or answer, choose a reason and, if you like, add a note. You stay in the app. Or email hello@meetsarathi.com with the subject “Report a reply” and a screenshot. We review every report within 2 working days and use it to make Sarathi better and safer.

Privacy and your data

Who can read my journal?

No one reads your journal or conversations as a matter of course. A small authorised team may see them only to respond to your Help-Me request or support request, or to fix a problem, and every access is logged. Your text is sent to third-party AI providers to write your replies, only after you agree to this in the app, and they may not use it to train their models. See our Privacy Policy.

How do I get a copy of my data?

In the app, go to Settings → Privacy and choose to export your data. You will get a JSON file with your profile, journal entries, reflections, Karma Mirror, Ask Sarathi history, settings and consent record. JSON is a plain-text format that you can open in any text editor. You can also email us to ask for a summary of the data we hold about you.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings → Privacy → Delete account and press and hold Hold to delete. Or email hello@meetsarathi.com with the subject “Delete my account”. You do not need the app to do this. Our Delete your account page explains what is deleted, what is kept and for how long, and how to delete some data, such as particular journal entries, without closing your account.

How do I turn off analytics or voice?

Go to Settings → Privacy → What you agreed to. Both are off unless you turned them on, and you can switch them off at any time.

Do you sell my data or show ads?

No. We never sell your data, we show no ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Beta, feedback and pricing

How do I give beta feedback or report a bug?

Use the feedback option in the app, or email hello@meetsarathi.com with the subject “Beta feedback”. Tell us your phone model, what you did, what happened and what you expected. Screenshots help, but please cover anything private. Every message is read, and good ideas shape what we build next.

Is Sarathi free?

Yes, Sarathi is free during the beta. We may offer paid plans later. If we do, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before any free feature becomes paid, you will see the full price and terms before you buy, and we will never charge you without your clear consent. See our Terms & Conditions.

If I buy a plan later, how do I cancel or get a refund?

Cancel in your store’s subscription settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. On Android, open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Refunds for store purchases follow Google’s or Apple’s refund policies, and we will help you with the request. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a store subscription. See Renewal and cancellation.
